Ingredients
1egg
200galmond flour
150gpowdered sugar
1teaspoonlemon juice
Instructions
First of all, put the almond flour in a large bowl and sift the powdered sugar over it. We sift the sugar to avoid lumps.
Then, crack the egg, separate the yolk, and squeeze the lemon. Measure out the correct amount of lemon juice and add it along with the egg white to the bowl.
Knead the mixture thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined.
Wrap it in cellophane and let it rest in the refrigerator for about an hour.
Finally, remove the Mazapán from the fridge and shape it as desired; we make a large log - it's a classic shape and easy to cut into bite-sized pieces!
Notes
Almond flour: It’s the key to Mazapán, the fresher, the better - so be sure to check the expiration date!
Lemon: We use a squeeze of fresh lemon.
Egg: Use a super fresh egg, as it will be used raw.
